Today I am a painter.
Some days I am a gardener. Some days I am a farmer. Some days I am a beekeeper. Some days I am the the host, the cook, the cleaner. Every day I am a wife and mother. And on the good days I am a painter.

Marylouise decided she would be a full time homemaker the day her first child was brought home from the hospital. Her interests have always included cooking, gardening, flower arranging, decorating, and more recently beekeeping, and because of her artistic talent she has a natural ability for these things. She enjoys entertaining and has cooked and shared her home with family and friends all her married life. When she realized the hole that would be left in her home when her children were grown and away she decided to further develop her interest in oil painting and many of her paintings reflect her love for farm animals, bees, the countryside and the American West.
The Makings of a Painting
Marylouise learned to paint by attending many workshops and painting classes from various instructors.
Studio Work
Marylouise paints larger and more detailed paintings in her studio on her farm. She uses plein air studies, color studies and photos to complete these works. of art.
Plein Air Work
Marylouise loves plein air painting as well as painting from life in various settings. Some of these paintings are used as studies for other larger paintings and some are finished in a single or multiple session depending on the subject and setting.
